PUSH THAT HORN FEAT. MEL GEORG

Mel and Rob do share the passion for Music. For many years, the two sang together. So it was only a matter of time until a joint project would appear. It was obvious that it would be the song "Push That Horn"; Finally, the words of Dean Terry imay ring even louder in her ears, since Dean had been her mentor long before Rob came into contact with the Cutting.

Mel has a penchant for singing the second voice. She quickly finds harmonies that make these parts much richer and an incredible enrichment. Singing harmonies challenges the singer unbelievably, even experienced singers quickly end up in the original melody again and again.

Mel was able to expand and perfect her technique during a stay in Nashville in September 2018. In Music City she had many interesting experiences in vocal lessons with Rob's coaches Kristin K. Smith and Renee Grant Williams, preparing for the recording of the first joint project.

Even before the release of the single in November 2018, it quickly became clear that further cooperation would follow. In the new recordings Mel was singing further background vocals in some songs.

But that's not the only cooperation of the spouses. Rob's single "Dust", to be released in March 2019, was written by Mel together with Kristin K. Smith in Nashville. The only song of the future album that Rob was not involved in as a songwriter.

LYRICS

I went to the states to be a cowboy Met a man who taught me how to cut He said “Boy, you're gonna win it all some day

So im gonna work you night and day

Chorus: he yelled "Push that horn" and i did Til my hand was torn and it bled

If it wasn‘t for him, wouldn‘t be where i am, he gave it all, so i could win, so i could win

At my first show he gave me advice Sit deep in the saddle and try not to die So i rode out, stared that cow in the eye Dropped the reins and gave it a try

Chorus

Now he‘s in heaven our training is through I‘ll hold up his legacy that‘s what i‘ll do i miss the time with him on the road cause it was the best that i‘ll ever know

Chorus ending on:

so i could win, and boy did i win
